The Infamous Masterson’s , located in the heart of Moonee Ponds , advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my latest trip at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I experienced behind its walls was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.
Cleanliness Issues : Grimy and Neglected
From the moment I walked in , it was clear that hygiene was not a priority at this venue. The surfaces were tacky , and a pungent odor of decaying beverages and neglected washrooms filled the entire pub. Reeking of a mixture of ammonia , decay and sickness . The bar area , which should be the focal point of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and litter that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . The toilet was in even worse condition — backed up, with a snapped lever and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was fecal matter .
